Short links

Editable QR codes with managed short links

An editable QR code is not magic. The printed code points to a managed short link, and that redirect layer is what lets you change destinations later without reprinting the artwork.

The practical model

The QR code stays stable. The managed short link behind it changes. That separation is what makes destination edits, scheduled swaps, and analytics possible.

This is most useful when replacing print would be annoying, expensive, or too slow for the campaign timeline.

Use editable QR when

  • The destination can change after print.
  • You need scan reporting or campaign grouping.
  • You want one printed code to support multiple phases.

Stay static when

  • The destination is permanent and direct.
  • You do not need hosted analytics.
  • You want the simplest possible no-account flow.
