Is qrqr.fyi really free to use?
Yes! qrqr.fyi is free for unlimited static QR codes with no hidden costs. On the free tier, ads may appear in the website interface only. We never place ads on generated QR codes, downloads, or redirect links.
Do Pro users see ads?
No. Pro plans remove on-site ads. On every plan, generated QR codes, downloaded files, and redirect links remain ad-free.
Do you put ads or watermarks on QR codes?
Never. We do not inject ads or watermarks into QR codes, PNG/SVG downloads, or the destination URLs your codes point to.
What formats can I download my QR codes in?
You can download your QR codes in PNG format for digital use or high-quality printing (up to 4096px resolution), or SVG format for professional use. SVG is ideal for printing at any size as it provides infinite scalability.
Do I need to create an account?
No account required for static codes! We value your privacy. You can create and download beautiful QR codes instantly without providing any personal information. Signup is only required if you want to use Pro features like Dynamic QRs and Analytics.
How many styles and colors are available?
qrqr.fyi offers 18+ unique styles (dots, rounded, elegant, modern, and more) plus 18+ color presets. You can also use custom colors with our color picker for perfect brand matching.
Will my QR codes work on all devices?
Our QR codes are compatible with all smartphone cameras and QR scanner apps worldwide. We use industry-standard encoding with high error correction for maximum reliability.
What is error correction and why does it matter?
Error correction allows QR codes to remain scannable even if part of the code is damaged or obscured. qrqr.fyi supports up to 30% error correction (Level H), ensuring your codes work even if they are partially obscured.
Can I edit a QR code after creating it?
Static QR codes encode data directly, so they can't be changed. However, our Pro plan offers Dynamic QR codes which you can edit anytime from your dashboard. This is the perfect solution for codes you've already printed!
How long do my QR codes last?
They last forever. Since we encode the destination URL directly into the QR code for static codes, they will work as long as your website exists. Dynamic codes also last as long as your Pro subscription is active.
Can I use qrqr.fyi for commercial purposes?
Absolutely! You're free to use qrqr.fyi-generated QR codes for any purpose including commercial projects, marketing campaigns, business cards, product packaging, and more.
What types of content can I encode in QR codes?
Currently, qrqr.fyi supports URLs, WiFi, vCards (digital business cards), and social media profiles. We are always adding more templates!
Is there any tracking on my QR codes?
Static QR codes link directly to your destination with no tracking from us. For Pro users, we offer optional scan analytics to help you track your campaign performance and gain valuable insights.
Are there any limits on how many QR codes I can create?
None whatsoever. Create as many static QR codes as you need, whenever you need them. Pro users have high limits based on their selected plan.
